Yung Joc appears onstage for a performance as an assembly of youths swarms toward his direction, screaming at the top of their lungs.

Only this time, the rapper delivers a message nothing like his raucous songs "I Know You See It," "Dope Boy Magic," or his smash hit "It's Goin' Down."

"I'm not trying to be a preacher, but God is real in my life," he says, while his 2-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter stand near him at an event called Exodus, a soulful revival for youths.

After Joc's testimony, the host of the event, Corey "CoCo Brother" Condrey, asks everyone to pray for the rapper. Many in attendance drop to their knees or stand place, tossing their hands toward the sky. Read More >

The World Famous Superfriend member threw a private bash here in Atlanta last night, and thanks to Trauma's hard working, and determined publicist Angela Watts SOHH.com came out to capture the the scene.
UPTOWN Restaurant and Lounge was the spot last night. Scantily clad models adorning sexxy nurse outfits seemed to drive the point home that invited guests were in the Trauma unit. Top Tier celebs like Akon, Yung Joc, Rashan Ali, Chaka Zulu, and a host of others all came out to show their support for the DJ thats in high demand. Trauma's new interactive website will give all his fans in essence him.

Say Now, started by CEO Nikyl Singhal and VP Brian Mandler, is a service that has the Hip Hop industry, among other genres, buzzing with its marketability and interactive approach to staying up on your favorite artists.

"What we found, when we started the company, was with digital services, whether Myspace pages, email lists or text messaging groups, that fans are looking for a closer, more personal way of connecting with their favorite artists," Singal told HipHopDX. "Artists are also looking for a closer way to engage the fans and connect with them, personally. Our service is a phone number that we give to [artists] that they can present to their audience to build a phone-based communication. Voice is the core piece of our product."

Hip-hop artist Yung Joc's concert caught a bad rap Saturday night after the show was canceled following an alleged fight and a string of eight arrests.

Campus police said they canceled the concert - scheduled from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Garrett Conference Center - at about 12:30 a.m., after a fight broke out inside the ballroom.

But the show's promotions director, Brandon Forrest, said no fight actually took place, and that police made it impossible for Joc to perform on time.
